I've been thinking about what to do with Poland.
As it stands at the moment, the local monarchs are ahistorically unpopular and each and every one of them has to fend off pretenders upon succession. I understand that it can be hard to solve this through great design changes, but one thing that could be done right now is to add either a +1 (or more, but I'll restrict myself to modest proposals here) legitimacy per year in their NI tradition and set the -20% cavalry cost to the Winged Hussars NI, or add Sejm events (and make the Sejm events a bit more frequent) to either add or detract to the Legitimacy of the noble in question.
Such an event could be "Sejm decides to endorse the royal claims of [Rulername]!" or "Sejm opposes rule of [Rulername]!". This would give the Sejm even more power and ability to mess with the monarch, as it should be, while giving an opportunity to avoid the constant 10-20 legitimacy a local noble is cursed to live with under his reign. It would also allow a Poland player to at least consider switching religion from Catholic without clutching at the Curia like a drowning man.
This would be an easy solution until a better and more permanent way to depict the Elective Monarchy and the Sejm can be found.
