So, I was thinking about playing Poland and I came out with an idea.
Instead of rushing for westernization, maybe it's better to rush for Free Trade? There are at least two good things that comes out from this move.
1. We can survive Reformation being at -1 Inn/Narr instead of -3 which is a bit easier.
2. Penalty for Oriental tech. is just 15% tech cost. so I think trading in europe will fully cover this penalty and give much more than that. Don't you think?
3. Hussars. Weak, but still fun aspect of having them.
So after rushing for +5 Free Trade I can start moving into centralization and then two steps into innovative (probably just by Patron of Arts). Reformation probably end by then and I will get fair income from trade so getting back stab levels will be faster.
