Poland not joining the Allies after Danzig or War

I started a new game as the UK and did a historical playthrough. Or at least I thought I did. The AI was also set to historical focuses.

Germany started Danzig or War a little bit later, in December 39. And for some reason Poland was not guaranteed and so no war started directly. Poland was completely on her own.

Did I mess something up with my focuses, or why could this happen.

Since a few patches or so ago, a player UK has to actually (i.e., manually) guarantee Poland in order for this to happen. Provided everything went normally (i.e., Poland didn't join/create another faction) you should be able to Guarantee them after the Fate of Czechoslovakia happens IIRC.

Ah, OK - I didn't do that and relied on an event which took care of that earlier. Thanks!
