Ha Cow, I like to think my first is the best and I am going all downhill from there. :p

BB wars, oh how I loved them. I hated them as the Knights though, my Catholic brothers just could not see I was doing God's works with the heathen! :D

You seem to be handling them quite well. Always a good thing!

I like to think that the beginning of my first AAR sucked, then the rest of it got good and I reached my pinnacle at the end, and now I'm trying to get back to that level :D

btw--did you ever take out the Kurgan rebels? If not, don't! Let the great nation of Sibir rise again, muahahahahaha! :D

I'm sure most of us can say truthfully that our first AAR isn't our best and since this is even your first game it's even more understandable.

What's your infrastructure tech rating?

At a time of Big BB War it was 6 IIRC.
I left notes at home, I try to find some time over weekend to check them and give you more details.

Heroic Siberians were promised the oppurtinity to fight Persians in few years and this agreement made them convert into happy campers :D

I cant wait to upload screenies, but I have no broadband at home, so took some to work, but floopy appears to be damage. Will retry, I promise.

I dont mind BB wars, they are handy :D but I have no issues with europeans in fact ( ohh, maybe Hungarian lands would add to my kingdom nicely ;) ) , thats why I always tried to sign peace ASAP even at a cost of province ( see Swedish and Brandenburgers).
My strategy for BB war is simple : concentrate on countries I want provinces from, and take those countries one by one, and let others siege my provincess.

btw I checked my BB again after BB war and it was 40. Is it much ?

Great BB war - summary

This BB war was a bit of surprise to me - I didnt expect europeans to care much about my war with Uzbeks. Apparently I was wrong :D

However, bearing in mind I was prepared for just a quick campaign we ended up quite well.
At a cost of two provinces (one to Sweden and another to Brandenburg) we annexed Czechs and Uzbeks plus Tula from Russia. All together it was good deal.
I guess my kingdom is at a stage where we can afford 2 - 3 big wars at a time. Money is not a big problem, all kingdom is fairly well fortified, economy strong. We have to cope with 3 religions, but it wasnt a major problem yet.

The strategical plan for the rest of the game is simple - improve relations with europeans, join (or form) strong alliance, colonise in the east (lots of fur provinces and nobody else there) and finally go for great blowing campaign against Perssians and Turks.

High BB really works against high relations. It will take alot of cash to keep them happy and relations will still decline, AFAIK.

Greatest turning point in polish history

Well, I am back with an update after longer break. Rest assured despite possible breaks I am willing to write this AAR to the very end. In case anything stops me from doing so I let you know. However do not expect more than 1 or 2 updates weekly.
Also, I found diary type (year by year) AAR to be quite boring for me so I am back to the style this AAR started with.

Poland-Lithuania after Great BB War

P-L enters the period of rebuilding, supressing rebels and upgrading its economy.
We try to stay out of trouble for a while and watch developments in Europe, thinking about our strategy for 17th century.
We retake provinces from rebels possesion ( Bogutjar, Saratov, Novgorod, Erz, Moldavia - all in period of 2 years) and finally upgrade our Alga colony to city status.
1592 brings horryfying news - pope issues Tolerancy Act, our religion changes back to catholic.
This ruined our whole colonial strategy, as we dont get any settlers any more.
Quick review of political situation - our catholic allies proved to be usuless in case of war, OTOH our biggest pain are protestant neighbours.
Conclussion is simple - if we cant (or rather dont want to) beat 'em lets join'em.
So we convert to protestant and bahh - our stab is down to -3.
This came as surprise to me, I thought we would loose 3 stab points.
Ok, we have to live with that - lots of gold goes for improving stab.
P-L enters RM with Sweden.
Meantime two quick wars finished - France anexed Lotaryngia and Turkey took Lebanon from Mammeluks.

We continue our colonial endaviours in Siberia and slowly upgrade Emba colony.
We also invest regularly into improving relations with our new brothers in faith, especially Thuringen ( which is a leader of alliance with Bavaria, Saxony and Wintenberg).

Turkey diploannex Hidjaz.

English alliance go to war against France.

Obviously we continue to fight rebels on every day basis.
We RM Denmark and Thuringen.
In 1597 our stab raised to 0.
Next year Thuringen invited us to join their alliance. Invitation is obviously accepted.

Poland continue its colonial efforts in Siberia and ( when our landtech finally reaches lvl 11) 2 cavalry detachments of brave Cossacks slowly explore rest of Siberia and find China, Korea and Japan.

Mongols embargo us from their trade center in Delhi - ouuuuuch.

Turkey goes for another war against Mammeluks.

1690 brings stability to levl 1 and our alliance end.
This time we invited Thuringen to form our own alliance, which they accept.

English vs France ends with England ceding Oldenburg to France.
England diploannex Scotland.
Turkey takes Alexandria in peace treaty with Mammeluks.
WE enter RM with Saxony, but they decline to join our alliance. Instead they jump into English alliance.

So we concentrate our diplomatic actions on Bavaria.
We pay for another brewery in Podlasia.

In 1606 we finally RM Bavaria

to be cont....

AAR still lives in my notes and game itself is close to be finished. However I have very limited internet access at the moment, but that hopefully will change in a week or so. So you may expect the rest of the story of great polish empire to be posted. Also, there is new Chineese empire being born....
