I noticed during part 4 of the World War Wednesday series that when Britain received the call to arms from Poland, it showed Wladyslaw Sikorski's portrait (Specifically in his Army-in-Exile uniform, and not the pre-war uniform, which personally I would prefer to be displayed as I believe it is more appropriate)

Why this is, I am not sure. While he may have been a notable figure as being leader of the Polish Forces-in-Exile of the west (until he died in Gibraltar) he had nothing to do with the late inter-war period or the September Campaign, as he was not given a posting due to his opposition to the Sanacja Regime. I don't know who call-to-arms pop-ups are meant to display, but I really believe that in Polands' case it should either display Edward Rydz-Smigly (de-facto ruler of Poland) or Ignacy Mościcki.

W
hile I understand that this is only a minor issue, if that, I still would like to know why he is displayed on the pop-up, and not a more important figure like Rydz-Smigly or Moscicki and why it was chosen for him to wear his western-uniform. Of course this is all a matter of personal taste, and I know the game artists probably have more pressing issues to work on, but I believe the traditional Polish officers uniform is more iconic.

The real question is who is the ruler of Poland in HOI4, and is it the right person. You seem to be suggesting that if its Wladyslaw Sikorski, its the wrong person. Personally I intend to change a few of the leaders in game, especially of the non-ruling factions, just like I do in every HOI3 game (accuracy tends to diminish the further away you get from Northern Europe/Germany/UK)

In terms of the uniform I think thats just being nit picky. The portraits wont be changing interwar-WW2-post war and I think you just have to accept that the "outfit" is a little less important than the person.

I agree it should be Rydz-Śmigły. Mościcki may have been leader, but Rydz-Śmigły held the power.
Just like Mussolini is the leader in game, even though the King ruled. Just like the Hungarian regent Horothy should be the leader, even though the day-to-day activities were handled by various prime ministers.

I agree to 100% with OP. This had me worried also.

The prewar uniforms where very iconic and it would be a shame if all Polish generals ended up with British uniforms.

I agree with OP - Rydz-Śmigły would be a good choice for neutral

I wonder who might be a leader of fascist Poland ?

I agree that it should be the president of Poland or general Rydz-Smigly after reading up on it a little. I'm surprised it isn't president Moscicki, I'm pretty sure he was the ruler in HoI 3 Poland and even if Rydz-Smigly was de facto ruler then the president would still be more accurate than Sikorski. Considering Moscicki was president from 1926 to the German invasion i can't see a reason that he'd be replaced in WWW at the outbreak of the war.

Another thing, if that uniform is government-in-exile but still Polish it wouldn't bug me as much as him wearing a British military uniform in independent Poland. I don't know which he's wearing, hust my two cents.
