I'm hoping that the event coders for EU3 will take a page from the AGCEEP book and code similar to how they did it - it accurately portrays what occured in Poland from 1420 onwards.Meehow said:The thing is: to what extend and to what accuracy will the history of Poland be implemented? Will it show what a multi-cultured society Poland used to be - and still considered itself to be the defender of scristianity in the east? How many historical events will appear? Will there be much of polish thinkers, philosophers and being-quite-smart-guys? And finally: will it show the mechanisms that led Poland to erode from the map of Europe for 123 years?
And, last but not least, will it be fun to play ; )

The Hidden said:My take is, since we're playing with hindsight, we should be able to avvert our countries historical past.
Since we'll know what decisions to make and not make. I do want a game focussing on history, but there needs to be a certain open endedness in it too, right? I mean if I want to watch the history of poland i'll read a text book. I'd like to see a game that, although will try and keep the historical line going throughout, that its also as dynamic as can be allowed.
OLDTIMER said:Hi,
I sincerely hope that turning Poland away from the historical path will not be as easy as in AGCEEP...
It should be doable, but almost impossible... Just like making the Spanish aware of true reasons for inflation and starting massive industrialization abt 1530...
