Ok, so at this point this is all planning and wishlist since I know next to nothing about CKII modding, but this is what I'll attempting to do:

Provinces.
Most are sort of ok, Silesia though is a bit messed up.

Lower Silesia =>Glogow
Upper Silesia => Legnica
Opole => Wroclaw
Cieszyn = > Opole.

At barony level, removing some of the cities and replacing them with castles would be good for flavor but I'm not sure about game balance.

Characters and holding.
I would like to remove the unhistorical placeholders when possible. Ideally, no non-Piasts at least at ducal level. Adding correct holders instead: for example Zbigniew and Boleslaw III should had their own demesne toward the end of Wladyslaw Herman reign but they don't in game.

- Gniezno would fit better as prince-bishopric than Sacz.
- Pomerelia should stay as Polish vassal/domain until 1308/1309 instead of becoming independent with the rest of Pomerania in 1137.

Laws
Currently it's all Gavelkind all the way. Should be Gavelkind, Seniority (1138-c. 1170s), gavelkind again and primogeniture (1295?). Maybe some higher crown authority at start so it can actually go down later on.

Bookmarks
Some cool starting points could be created, like 1138 (the Seniority System) or 1296 (fight for the Polish crown between Vaclav of Bohemia and Wladyslaw)

That's it for now.

Thank you kindly, very nice fixes!

Great work! Thanks! Have you changed the map too? What about Lubusz? Shouldn't it be more part of Silesia than Greater Poland?

Here are very good map of Silesian duchies all the way through middle-ages.

As I agree with Glogow, in my opinion it would be good to rename Upper Silesia to Wroclaw and leave Opole and Cieszyn as both were very important Silesian duchies.

Hi.
I agree that Lubusz probably should be part of Silesia but it's probably better to have Greater Poland and Silesia be similar in size, for game balance reason.
I like the current layout of Silesia so I won't changing that at the moment.

Version 0.2:
Bugfixes:
- fixed some issues with Glogów and Legnica
- removed added character of Bogumil (was a duplicate)

Changes:
- Seniority succesion of Poland in 1138-1177

- Barony of Brzesko changed to Wojnicz.
- Wroclaw given to Wlost of Silesia in 1066 start.
- Wroclaw is now the capital of Silesia.
- Jacwiez and Yatvyagi are no longer parts of de jure Duchy of Mazovia - moved to Lithuania
- Zhmud is now part of de jure duchy of Samogitia, not Lithuania.
- Pomerelia is part of direct Polish demesne from 1116 to 1155.
- Pomeralia is now Polish vassal slightly longer.

-Boleslaw II and his son are now properly exiled in Hungary
- Mieszko Boleslawowic is now a Duke of Lesser Poland in 1086-1089

-added Zbigniew, son of Wladyslaw Herman.
-Zbigniew is now a Duke of Greater Poland and Kuyavia 1098-1107

-Boleslaw is now a Duke of Lesser Poland and Silesia since 1098
-Boleslaw III gets the kinslayer trait in 1113.
-Boleslaw III gets a bunch of other traits.

Development of Polish lands:

- Poznan gets 4th barony in 1187 (Drzen, castle)
- Sacz gets 3rd barony in 1234 (Szczyrzyc, temple)
- Wroclaw gets 4th barony in 1227 (Henrykow, temple) (settlement limit raised to 5)
- Glogów gets 4th barony in 1230 (Scinawa, city)
- Opole gets 4th barony in 1237 (Ruda, temple)
- Czersk gets 4th barony in 1337 (Warszawa, city)
- Kraków gets 5th barony in 1337 (Kleparz, city)

Known issues:
- The county CoAs for changed Silesian provinces are wrong (I've just realized that CoAs for counties are not automatically generated)

Very cool effort. I spent a lot of time modding CK for Poland long ago. It is nice to see others doing it for CKII. Sadly I dont have time to get involved and I'm really not a Polish history buff so I dont think I can contribute to this mod other than to cheer you guys on!
:cool: :wub:

Nice i was looking for some regional improvement for Poland/Central Europe. Will this mod be updated?

ps: btw i think lubusz should stay in the duchy of greater-poland, at least for the early time period, and even after that (historically border region, swapped between different "duchies") - and balancing, greater poland with permanent gniezno princebishop and only 2 counties besides lubusz seams a bit weak

I'll be updating once I have more free time, i.e. in about about 2-3 weeks.
On Gniezno, I'm contemplating removing the P-Bishop in 1138. Currently Mieszko III/Greater Poland is indeed very week at that start.

Pommerania was independent since 1070 by prof Gerard Labuda and prof Jan Powierski
Siege of Hradec was in 1068 and Pommerania come away after this event in 1070 so basically Pommerania should be part of Poland in 1066.

That is the impression I was under but figured give the short time frame it was separated for game play reasons. Sadly I always spend my first 30 years or so trying to get back.

On that note, Poland was a Duchy of the HRE in 1066...

Yes, it was a duchy, but can't say it was some part of HRE then... there was episodes of some dependency, when polish dukes were swearing fealty to the emperor/king of the Romans - mostly it was affecting them with paying some tribute or military help (more like alliance). But it wasn't the situation like in Bohemia.
