Pointer size too big

I am having a problem where the mouse pointer size is a bit too large and obscures the upper left text in text boxes when I hover over anything. This is a real pain - any solutions?

My specs:

EUIV 1.8 (not beta)
MacBook Pro 2560x1440 resolution screen but playing the game at 1920x1200 so I can read the text.
Full screen mode
Normal display settings for all else.
No mods except Better Diplomacy and Even Better Terra Incognito

I don't see this and I play on a Mac.

Does it happen if you have no mods active?

Does playing in Windowed mode help?

Turned off mods and enabled windowed mode and still got the same result unfortunately. I tried to take screenshots but none of them show the mouse pointer unfortunately. Are you using a MacBook pro? I'm using Iris graphics on mine.

I think this problem will probably occur with anyone who uses a recent MacBook with 2560x1600 screen, Intel Iris graphics and the same or approximate settings. I haven't done anything special with the installation or hardware at all. If possible, see if you can try it on comparable hardware.
