It isn't big enough to be a planet, and if we classified it as one, we would have to suddenly reclassify a ton of other celestial bodies as planets too.

It's especially funny to me how many people act so affronted that Pluto isn't considered a planet now as if it always was. Pluto was only classified as a planet in like 1930, and before that there were multiple other bodies that were classified as planets that were also reclassified and nobody cares. I mean out of all the features in the universe I'd want them to spend dev time on that's . . . . uh, probably not even in my top 10,000? Nice to have, sure? But you probably aren't going to come back to the game after a break away from it and start a new run just because they relabled a couple of asteroids as dwarf planets. That's just more mod territory imo, and I'm pretty sure there already are tons of mods that do that
