okei, seriosly i guess the point was to make the plot and so on less gamey than before, but how it works now is just retarded. Playing a King of Norway, have a good intrigue level and in my plot i have a plot power of about 350% with more than 15-20 people backing my plot and still I havent had a single event going off? We are now talking about a timeperiod of around 7-8 years easily. Is this a bug or are u seriosly expecting me to crush my computer in frustration waiting ? please answear.

One time I had a plot power of 1300% (no, that's not a typo) with two people (me at 29 intrigue and a 28 intrigue spymaster working together to assassinate an infant). Nothing happened for five years, and then I invited another random schmuck with 10% plot power and they drunkenly spilled the beans a week later.

I'm pretty sure plots are broken right now.

Yeah, I have been experiencing the same. I can't keep playing if they don't fix this. I hope a fix will be out within a couple of days... this is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe they got some kind of algorithm wrong. (Assuming there is one to decide the likelihood of different events firing off)

In my opinion the new system is far more interesting and most awesome!

But then they have to change the % numbers... it is quite frustrating to have numbers above 100% and not get an event for 15 years.

Hmm, well if this is how it is supposed to be they have to make som changes to % system, since it makes no sense to have a 300% chance when nothing happens for years. What happens if i only have 50%? would it take me 10-15 years ? I can admit that the old system was a bit gamey, but when it takes thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis long to kill off one person then its boring.

The same problem. Plot with power more than 300% was waiting for years and there was no any event. finally i just killed the object of plot in the war.

Plot system in new patch just doesn't work. and they don't fix it

Having the same problem. Before patch the plot option showed up with the feasts, hunts, etc but was greyed out until the plot power reached a certain level. Now when I try to kill someone using a plot no option appears even with plot power well over 100%. I can't play CK2 any more till it is fixed as this is a major game breaker. Running Steam version of CK2 if that makes a difference.

Its not a game breaker when its working as intended. You can't anymore decide when the the plot is put to action. It will happen on its own time when the characters in your plot get a good chance to kill him like in real history.

So one of my plotters finally found a time to strike! Got a little event popup that said "X is going to poison Y at a feast".

The attempt failed, of course. Then X drunkenly told Y I was trying to assassinate him.

I hate alcohol.

I can see the realism that the developers were going for, what I meant was how I played the game prior to the update is no longer viable. I feel that plots can and were pushed by their instigators, during the period, when they felt that the chance was high for success and that the previous plot mechanics reflected this. Assassination was rampant during this period and was far more common than the new mechanics allow for. If it is at all possible combining the two, choose the time and random assassination event, would give the best of both worlds. At the very least the time scale needs to be tweaked so that plots occur within character life spans.
