Plots you can launch...? Really?

My spymaster has uncovered plots I can view on my Intrigue screen that are launched by others, but the manual specifically mentions plotting to institute elective monarchy, to assassinate your spouse, etc. I've only run two countries, thus far--Norway, and Bohemia--but in neither case did any plots become available to my monarch. Ambitions, yes: the standard ones. Bring a holy man, a debutante, or noble to court, the royal hunt, the feast, etc. But where are those plots?

Lower Crown Authority and Institute Elective/Gavelkind/Seniority only applies to vassals. If you are a king and not under an emperor, you can only join other peoples plots to do such actions against other countries.

I agree, the plots are a bit thinly spread and pretty basic. I think it's something they should (and probably will) expand on.

A few times I found out about a certain plot and wanted to join in on it, but as far as I can tell, there's no way to. Is there some method to do so that I'm unaware of? Also, does the player character ever get invited into plots? So far I haven't been invited into any.

It depends what character you play, as a King i only had the plot to kill my wife (after i had married), the lower ranked characters probably have more options (you choose your plot where you choose your ambition - its eitehr choos an ambition OR a plot)

Those are events, you can select plot and ambitions if you cllick the plot button above it.

I personally envision Crusader Kings 2: Cloak and Dagger expansion in the future

But it is just based on personal wish

My only issue with the game at this point is the small amount of available plots and ambitions.

I certainly hope so. As the Duke (later King) of Bohemia and the King of Norway, no plots ever appeared, and only the standard few ambitions. Or perhaps this is something that will be added in a patch...? We can hope.

I would rather people modded it, since it seems like pretty easy to mod, no reason to pay for it.

I agree, plots should be slightly expanded on.

But, all together I am loving the game.

Maybe, a "Design your own plot" type of function.

Count -----> Wants to kill his Duke -----> Places Duke in the center ----> Gathers information to find out his heir doesn't like him -----> Add to plot.

Or something of that nature, would be the icing on the already amazing cake.

Yea I was hoping for one to resurrect old titles. Like King of Italy, etc.
