As a ruler it seems I only have 4 possible plots.

The obvious one:
Kill your wife

Dependant on prestige and current piety
Gain piety
Gain money
Gain prestige

Are there going to be any others in the official release? Only having 4 plots is kinda... dull. That being said after playing alot of the demo, the things I found most usefull are debuntes. Is a spymaster in another area protecting his leige too well? Lure him away with a beautiful lass. Do you need a awesome steward, ect? Use more ladies. After using that strategy I had counselors of

is this normal or am I just exploiting a bug?

I also tend to get some amazingly talented courtiers this way far too often. Perhaps they could lower the chance of getting talented courtiers or make them more expensive?

I could be wrong, but I feel like this will be harder to exploit in the later game. The debuntes only generates a random, courtier level woman, and to get your target to your court you need to arrange a matriliniel marriage. Hopefully once dynasties begin to grow, the best characters will be too important to consider this arrangement.

At least, that's what I'm hoping. If it doesn't turn out that way, perhaps they should bring dynasty prestige into account when arranging matrilinial marriages to courtiers, making it near impossible to buy insignificant sons of relatively strong dynsasties with a never ending supply of even more insignificant women.

Plots seem like they'll get old pretty quickly, kinda like with the flavor text. Cool to read the first few times, but after awhile you don't even read them anymore. Hopefully they'll add more plots as they improve the game... and hopefully without having to pay for it, either.

You can make your vassals into councilors. I've always found it's a good idea to get your councilors married and landed as soon as possible.
