When considering the concept of "customized divsions" with Brigades then the idea of a "Militia division" goes away.

Come to think of it the entire concept of "division types - aka Infantry division, Motorized division etc" might even go away depending on what brigade types are available...

Food for thought...

How about using militias as an upgradeable unit. Meaning that much like a lot of countries have "militias" during times of peace (UK teritorial guard, US National Guard, and so on.) These units keep orginazational intergity for fighting troops durring times of peace, and then can be "upgraded" to regular fighting troops durring times of war.

And durring times of peace you can "demobilize" your regular unit down to "millitias".

Just a thought, what do you guys think?
From a realism standpoint this makes a lot of sense to me. But I believe I read they want to make it more difficult for democracies to gear up for war in HoI3. Having militia units available that could relatively easily be upgraded to more powerful units would seem to run contrary to this design aim. So I like the concept, but I'm not sure how it would work in the game. Time will tell.
