At moderate levels of zoom in the Political Map view, the game shows your armies but will not show the circular icon by them that tells you about sieges in progress. If you zoom in, you can see it when you reach the Details Map level.
I would like to suggest that the siege icon be shown at both levels of zoom. I tend to prefer playing at the lower level of zoom, and I still want to know that I have my army parked in the right spot in enemy territory and I'm not just hanging out in a city or open field. Sure I can zoom in and then back out to check, but it'd be nicer to just have the info there already.
Screenshot examples: In the first shot, you can see that my army is in enemy territory and that the enemy is in mine. I can't see until I zoom in (2nd shot) whether sieges are ongoing, and how far along they are.
