Please rethink the unlocks for CK3

Some people want all the achievements, I want all the beards.Yeah, but I'm sure there will be other nice beards.
Well spend 30 minutes every other week playing a free game and you too can have them all too
The limited time I have to play I would much rather spend playing the game modded. And there in lies the crux of the matter. Why can't we get these things playing with mods? Why does it matter if some people may create cheat mods to get them easily?
Again we all get thrown under the buss for the sake of... I don't even know what to call it.
It'll take the average player a lot more than 30 minutes getting all three rewards unlocked. Heck, it'll take longer for highly skilled players unless they get lucky.
That being said, I mean, put in the effort to get the unlocks. Or don't. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me either way.
Same here. Well, I play the AGOT mod a lot, but other than that it's all pure CK2 for achievements on my end.
I dont like the new UI much...and graphic is I dont know... Cartoonish vs real... Im more for a real one but it would be nice if they could make the campaign map like Attila total war like for example. This what I saw from a early pictures is not finished.
Well that's nice for you but why does it bother you so much that other people enjoy the game differently? Achievements is another thing, would be really fun getting some, but I'm not playing vanilla just to get them. I really don' see why, they only matter for one self, a mark of one's own accomplishment, so if people cheat to get them why does it matter to anyone else?Same here. So you either hate to play a suggested mission or don't have time for it. And if you want to play the mission, then it has to be with mods, because game balance sucks in vanilla.
At the same time, this minor cosmetic DLC is extremely valuable to you, because you like to collect those things. It's just you don't want to play the mission or play it in bronze man.

Pretty much. I've been saying achievements should not require ironman or checksum checks for ages. Why should the vast majority of those who prefer to play modded and not use it as a cheat, be discriminated against because a small minority may chose to use mods to cheat? But it is eccentrified a lot by the fact that these things give you access to actual content.
What's the point of "achievements" if you can cheat. Oh wait. You just want to be able to do it because the game is buggy. You didn't mean to take advantage of it.
For me it feels like taking an exam with the answer sheet. You don't want to cheat. Yet you don't want to take the exam without the answers because there can be erroneous questions and you need to see the answers if a question seems wrong.
If you don't think that's wrong, or you don't see the analogy, then we can simply agree to disagree as I will move on from what seems a minor issue.
The point is something shiny for you to look at and remember when you did it without cheating. Why would someone else cheating diminish that? Also people can already cheat, they can for an example roll back to a broken patch where the achievement is super easy to accomplish because of some bug or unintended game play effect.
No one cares about which achievements you have aside from yourself, thus the only real thing what matters is how you got them.
And the difference there is that you don't do exams for your own sense of accomplishment. But that's the only thing that achievements are. Also modding can be a answer sheet but it can also be making the test way harder. I would guess most people who mod doesn't make them game easier but rather harder. Heck it's not like CK2 is a hard game to begin with, it's probably easier to get most achievements the old fashioned way than write up a mod to accomplish them. It's almost certainly faster.
Not to mention there are things they cannot do because of ironman, for an example they can't make an achievement which requires you to be a Merovingian because there is no Ironman way to play that dynasty.

They're not dislikes, they're disagreements. People can disagree without being bothered in the slightest.

Is there any time limits on the "getting" of those cosmetics?
I don't see it be mentioned nowhere, so if op don't feel like playing for them, just wait until you will have the motivation for that exact scenario.

Where is it indicated? I have not seen anything in CK2 when I loaded it up with the new challenges?
