Monarch point is what all three of the tech points are called. Admin, Diplomaty, Military all = Monarch Points. your monarch is what determines much of how much of each of these categories you gain each month.
This is why a king with 6,6,6 is extremely extremely useful, while most spanish start kings, (1,1,2) are extremely useless as rulers.

SO essentially, the more you sacrifice your republican tradition, the more control your leader gets, being re elected allows him to essentially tune the country further and further to his style of governance, and you can end up, in certain circumstances, with a 6,5,5 leader by 'abusing' this system. The only issue for me with it, is that these super buffed rulers never seem to live long enough to be truly useful.

I only have 2 Dlcs for Eu4.. nothing forced me to get the others and I enjoy the game a lot. I mean I only got the Dlcs because of the changes that came with AOW.. But that is about it. I mean they are worth getting now in my opinion.. Since AOw makes this game so much fun ( it was a fun game now its even better )

Yeah I notice after the third Election...They tend to die and the process starts anew with finding a leader once again. Do you by chance know after how many Elections does he get a chance to proclaim a dictatorship ?

Let's stop using the ruler ability to assess people.

It's insulting to, for example, Ulugh Beg, who were a highly accomplished scientist, but graded 1/1/1 since he was indeed a poor ruler.
