please let us pre-order the game

i can't se a reason i wouldn't enjoy this game, based on the info and gameplay we've gotten so far.
i've enjoyed every last paradox game i've bought and my all time most played and favorit game is eu 4 .
the development has come so far that it seems unlikely that you guys will cancel it, and im not asking for a release date, im only asking nicely to be permited to order it.

I hope preordering unlocks already certain forum avatars since you pre order it, before release

It would be cool to have some of the characters from start or some of the ingame dev characters, as forum avatar, since flags in this period are a bit meh, along with other representative items from the period, like that eagle and stuff like that.

Yes they will, obviously. Thats the thing of preordering with all PDX games. It gives you certain avatars and forum icons.

But... but... why would you want to preorder the game if there are no pre-order rewards involved? Why is it so important to pre-order in any case?

I'd love to see the flags added as avatars instead. This Sarmatian one is too old and low quality.

To show support for the game and the developer/stuido

Paradox has provided me with my all time favriote games, and they have consistently released quality games.

The two launches I was not happy at all with the state of the game at release were Stellaris and Hearts of Iron 4.

Stellaris they fixed rather quickly and made it into a very high quality game.


Hoi4 they are still working on and trying to fix but they did right by their customers by giving those who pre-ordered and invested into the FM edition free expansions and admitted their mistake and they have been moving that game in the right direction I'm hoping man the guns fixes the crap AI and naval combat.


TL;DL paradox provides good quality content, shut up and take my money I want to support them.

Why would you think you would be prevented from pre-ordering? That's exactly what they want. Of course you will be able to do that.

The real question is whether or not you should. It enables bad practice, in my opinion and in the opinion of many others.

This is why developers can get away with releasing complete garbage (not PDX I hasten to add) because people simply do not possess the patience required to NOT throw their money away...



There's absolutely no reason for this request other than impatience, nothing tangible to be gained, it wonlt encourage PDX to release it 1 seconds earlier either, if they do announce a pre-order, then pre-order it! until then just wait!

Don't make sense that you should be able to preorder right now. There is no release date yet, we can actually not be completely sure the game will actually be released or not.

Why not just buy the game on release date? I mean, I could see wanting to buy it when you know you have the extra cash, but to my knowledge, PDX always lets you pre-order so be patient...

The whole idea of pre-order should be long gone now. Unless they are still making physical copies of the game then pre-order has outlive its usefulness, just like many other technology innovations.

Wrong as for the game developers money now is better than money later so you can not say it is obsolete. But how good preorder is for the consumer is debatable.
