I now dread every time I see your updating the game because I know it means instead of actually playing the game in the little amount of free time I have, I instead have to spend hours trying to figure out why the game doesn't work anymore.

Please make the updates optional!

Hi,

In the steam settings, turn off the auto-update function (to be sure, turn it off also for each game you don't want update). So You'll keep the version you want to play with.
If you want to try an update, save the game's file (both steam/common/steamapps/yourgame and mydoc/yourgames), try the update and if you don't like it copy back the saves you made.

Hope it can help you, have fun :)

Your game doesn't work because of outdated and not yet updated mods. Paradox and Colossal Order have nothing to do with that. While you accepted to play with mods you also accepted that they might break the game, when you enabled them.
Check for updated mods here:

To my knowledge there is no such function under settings. If there is please tell me where. :)
