While I'm not ill disposed towards the new soundtracks, I do like the original ones better, especially Silk Road and Family; they are just relaxing to listen to.

Though; even more than those I love the Nomadic Battle Theme and Nomad Theme from Europa Barbarorum; don't you just imagine yourself sitting on the wild steppes, in the clean air, with a giant pot of honey, just enjoying life when listening to it?

Enjoying the new soundtracks much more than the older one, you can totally feel the might of an Empire. I really enjoy Moment of the battle IMO it should start automatically when a war is declared.

Please hire this composer again for more tracks in the future

While I agree that Järpehag's music could use a bit more punch here and there, I find the more martial tracks from the last batch a bit too pompous to my taste. They are probably fine at the launch of some major defining event, like — random example — when you declare war as Carthage against Rome; that is maybe once or twice per campaign, but I wouldn't have them playing as frequently as the rest of the soundtrack. As others have already said, the original soundtrack creates a contemplative atmosphere befitting the players' roaming around the Mediterranean Sea. (Yes, I'm pretending you don't actually exist, Eastern and Northern parts of the map. )

As a point of comparison, some of my favourite tracks are 'Oceanus', 'Karthago', 'The Punic Wars'.
