Please Help me with Slowing Down

I have researched and looked everywhere for every technique on how to speed up my game. I have a decent laptop which plays any new games (including MMOs) on high graphics settings. However, after my kingdoms in CK2 grow to anything sizable, or after about 100 years my game continues to slow down. I have turned off trees, I have done a complete clean reinstall, I have changed my resolution, and it still continues to slow down. It is not completely stopped but it is enough to distract and bother me. I don't at all understand why this game would have so much trouble where I don't get an once of lag in any other game. Yes during my clean install I deleted all of that. The problem used to only occur when I had a very large empire. But now, I would say since India was added a little bit and even worse here within the past few months. It slows down as far as days going by. Like I said its not like a second a day or anything, but its enough to annoy me and make the game unplayable for my personal preference. Sometimes it can be all of the above, however. Every once in a while there is a slight lag when I open a menu or try to scroll across the country, but that's not too annoying to me as much as the days slowing down. It happens before my kingdom is even that large. What could the problem with windows be? And how exactly should I go about resolving it?

You are running the game in compatibility mode, which only has access to 1gb of memory. Right-click on both steam.exe and ck2game.exe, properties, compatibility tab, and un-select every checkbox there and Apply. Then click on Apply to All Users.

For your Windows issues, I have no real idea, it's outside my area of expertise. If your machine is still in warranty Sony should be able to help you, other than than you might need professional help, or post on some technical help forums.
