So I have had an ongoing problem with Battletech. I once loaded a mod back in April or May 2018 that did 'something' with heatsinks but I didn't like it, so I thought I had removed it properly (Spoiler Alert, I hadn't removed it correctly). Fast forward just a tiny bit and I had figured out a way to get past "Data.DataManager.LoadRequests [ERROR] manifestEntry is null for [Gear_HeatSink_Generic_Standard_Medium] [HeatSinkDef] - resourceIds are case sensitive so be sure to check that too." error in my output_log.txt file. For the life of me, I can't remember what I had done exactly. I beat the game and was a happy camper. I played with some other mods that leveraged BTML and was humming right along. Eventually, I got bored and stopped playing altogether. I then needed to reload Windows 10 (because it's Windows...) and this brings us to today.

TL;DR Help me get the game to launch.

I'm getting errors in the log file "01output_log.txt", so I go to fix those errors.
  1. Look in the .\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data\VersionManifest.csv file and add a row the contains
    Code:
    Gear_HeatSink_Generic_Standard_Medium,HeatSinkDef,data/heatsinks/Gear_HeatSink_Generic_Standard_Medium.json,50,2018-02-27T00:45:28.2895233Z,2018-06-14T21:17:20.9505084Z,,,False,0,False
  2. I make sure that I have a "Gear_HeatSink_Generic_Standard_Medium.json" in the folder .\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data\heatsinks. **I did this by just making a copy of Gear_HeatSink_Generic_Standard.json and renaming it to Gear_HeatSink_Generic_Standard_Medium.json
  3. Launch the game again. **Because I think this is all I had to do in the past**
Unchecked the box in Steam Battletech>Properties>Updates>Steam Cloud "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for BATTLETECH"
    No Active Paradox Profile
    New Campaign
  4. Still won't play but now I have different errors in the output_log (which I have attached as "02output_log.txt"
I'm at a loss for what to try next.
