My biggest pride is my collection of coins from Poland. About 30 coins from kingdom between 1300-1795, 11 coins from French/Prussian/Russian occupation 1795-1918, a hugh colection of interbellum-coins with many silver `crowns` and about 150 modern polish `jubilee` coins. I have also of course all the types of circulation coins from Poland after 1918.Originally posted by Mikael XII
I have that as a hobby as well. But it is hard i beleive.
I have coins of 1800-2000 Swedish, and some bills.
20.000 Reichmark from 1923
And some jubilee coins.
I have 50 year of UN conmemoration Coin.
A jubilee coin of a Moscow Olympics and such.
But it is hard i beleive.
If you have a scanner maby i could see your pride.
Further I have hugh collection of all European countries, from ancient Greece,Persia & Roman Empire to newest set of Transdniestrian coins. Especially my English collection is very nice. Some months ago I started the expansion of my collection to non-European countries. A nice begin are Chinese cash-coins from 200BC-1900AD (I have about 10 of those) and Indian Jitals which I unfortunately cannot identify correctly.
I have also a collection of Polish bills of 2nd PRL-series (12 bills).
But it is a very expensive hobby once you are so far as me. I`m just a poor student after all.
Unfortunately I do not have a working scanner at hand (my own scanner died some time ago). Maybe it`s a good idea not to buy any coins this month so I can buy a scanner?
