Then neither would the wreath of a specific plant only found on earth, wich is somehow associated with Victory thanks to Roman culture.Mostly, I don't play with the human species - That's the point, so that this pigeon doesn't really fit into the immersion ...

The kneeling guy with a spear is used for Protectorates, right ?As others have mentioned the (space) dove in itself is okay. Some of the other icons show quite "medieval" symbols as well (the kneeling subjugate with his spear and so on), so the dove doesn't break the style.
As others have said, it's not that it's that bad, it just doesn't fit together so well with the other icons. What's up with all this dove hate, have you never heard of space doves?
Oh wow, can't unsee it now.At first (quick) glance, I thought it was an ancient Greek-style helmet, didn't realise it was a dove on its back until I looked closely.
That is not a space dove, that is an ordinary dove. A space dove would be drawn in the icon style of Stellaris. What's up with all this dove hate, have you never heard of space doves?
I didn't realize it was a dove until I was told that's what it was and looked at it really hard and even then it doesn't read very well. Its far messier/noisier a design than the other icons, that's all. What's up with all this dove hate, have you never heard of space doves?
How about a dead dove impaled on a bloody sword? How about a sword with a dead doves below it and smaller
Propably too much detail. I mean people have issues making out teh Crosshair on the one dead dove. And more then 1-3 colors per Icons does not seem to work out.How about a dead dove impaled on a bloody sword?
