My frames do not drop below 80 fps and run at around 140 fps.
as for lowering visuals.. I\m running an RTX 2080.
cpu on this sytem is a Ryzen 1700x But i\m experiencing the same on intell cpus.

BTW: I was looking at some FRAPs Frame Timing data for my system [2.2.5 / no mods]. I'm not sure if this is what you're seeing but I'm getting roughly 200 milli-second periods of time where my frame rate drops well under 20 FPS and then things go back to 60 FPS. Are you seeing something vaguely similar? How often do you see that?

Tried some other games and the others I've tried appear to be much smoother in terms of consistent FPS / Frame Timing / Average FPS close to "max" FPS / etc.

Note: I've got my system locked to max of 60 FPS as that's "good enough for me" most of the time.

It is again horrible. Stellaris needs a CKII treatment in terms of performance

The 2.2.5 beta does not do anything with regards to daily stutter from what I can see. It is just as bad as in 2.2.4 and can be observed even in the very early game on default settings.

The performance (how quickly the days go by) however has becomes worse! I started a brand new game on 2.2.5 and the days were visibly going by slower compared to 2.2.4, so I decided to time how long it takes for a month to pass on the same savegame in both versions. In 2.2.4 it was 7.5 seconds per month whereas in 2.2.5 it was 8.5 seconds per month (in the year 2257). At year 2200 it was like 5.5 seconds per month (in both versions). It might not seem like much, but that's more than a 10% drop in performance (between two versions) in just 50 in-game years... And again, the only reason I timed it is because it was visibly worse.

I still remember when they claimed that performance would IMPROVE with 2.2 before release. :D:D:D

Although im incredibly disappointed i've definitely experienced some performance improvements with 2.2.4/2.2.5 for what its worth. Its almost pre-2.2 levels now for me. I hope they can keep it up..
