Please do something about galleys.

They are ridiculously overpowered. They cost nearly nothing to maintain, but destroy heavy ship fleets even in the lategame.

Just in case: that was in an open sea, without the +100% inland sea CA modifier.

Oh wait is you're point that they're half as strong but cost 1/4 of the maintainence? They do take up the same force limit though...

My view is that galleys should be strong in inland seas, but weak outside them.
In the game on the screenshot, the Andalusian fleet costed 40 ducats to maintain. The Dutch fleet costed 53 ducats and the Spanish fleet (which fought alongside the Dutch fleet) costed 75 ducats to maintain.
Netherlands and Andalusia both had both Maritime and Naval ideas, Spain had neither.
40 ducats fight better than 128 ducats in an open sea. That's nowhere near the realm of fair.
