I mentioned this back when MtG came out, and I'm stunned that still nothing has been done about it. Where are all the missing victory points in the USA. From the game you would think it's a sparsely populated backwater, but in reality it's the most heavily industrialized nation on Earth. The East Coast and Great Lakes region in particular should have many many more cities represented on the map as victory points. We have victory points for so many European towns that you would at least think the cities in the USA would be included. And I know, the war took place in Europe, but China suffers the same problem as the USA and it was a major theater of war. So this doesn't strike me as gameplay related but simple Eurocentrism. (btw India is another overlooked one)
For example look at these populations of US cities in 1930/1940 (none are on the map):
Hartford, CT - 166,000
New Haven, CT - 160,000
Bridgeport, CT - 147,000
Springfield, MA - 149,000
Albany, NY - 130,000
Rochester, NY - 325,000 (!!!)
Scranton, PA - 140,000
Grand Rapids, MI - 164,000
Flint, MI - 156,000
Toledo, OH - 290,000 (!!)
Youngstown, OH - 170,000
Dayton, OH - 210,000 (!)
Akron, OH - 255,000 (!)
Memphis, TN - 293,000 (!!)
Meanwhile we have:
Caspe, Spain - 10,000
Beja, Portugal < 20,000
Guarda, Portugal < 40,000
