Or at least allow us to see what exactly comes with every skillpoint before skilling it (make the whole skilltree visible from the start, not only when you are actually at the point where you are investing a point in the skill) - makes it hard for newer players - such as myself - to skill correctly.

I'm not sure I agree with respec. You can pick a total of 3 skills which are visible (1 tree with the lvl 5 and lvl 10, and a secondary with the lvl 5). Aside from that, you can fill up the other trees, just not get the special abilities.

You'll need more mechwarriors anyways to cope with injuries so its best not to get too attached to your dream team

Disagree with respec, and heartily agree with better visibility into what each stage of the skill grants.

That said, I've successfully, albeit ignorantly, made my decisions purely based on role.
