I have a similar question... or it may even be the same question. I'm not sure cuz I'm no expert on these matters.

I currently have a little home network where I have two computers connected by a hub, on which I sometimes play EUII with my gf. We only have, and only need for this kind of game, one EUII disk. In a couple days I'm going to be getting a cable modem, and I will be setting it up so both computers connect to the internet on this modem.

Question 1: Will it be possible for both of us to join a multiplayer game with other people on the internet?

Question 2: Will this now require me to get a second copy of EUII?

You shouldn't have a problem with having two few CDs. However you might have a problem, depending on the way you set up your network, joining other MP games.

If you have seperate IP addresses you be able to play fine. But, if you are both sharing one external IP address, you will not be able to join the same MP game. You can join seperate games. To play in the same game, one of you will have to host, having the other join using the internal IP address. One of you will not be able to chat with anyone but the host...... it works...

Frost,
I have a router, and all you need to do is open the channels EUII needs so you can play. You can find the channels in one of the MP FAQs. And it doesn't seem to cause any problems hosting with a router.
