Did you hit declare war and also hit the check button?

Sometimes the units need to walk to the airport first.

For naval invasions once you have superiority and wait the required time.. you hit the check box when you want to launch it.

Usually it is superiority issues but if you are patient and tap that button enough they will launch.

The game could be more user-friendly when it comes to paradrops and naval invasions.

The game's confusing design for naval invasions are a source of frustration for many Paradox customers.

Suggested solution:

HoI4 game designers sit down with new players and the designers watch new players attempt a naval invasion. The designers ask the new players "what did you expect to do? What were your instincts?"

In fact the game needs intuitive, I am new to the game, reading the instructions was easy to learn that to launch a naval invasion you need to have at least 50% naval supremacy and have guaranteed air superiority, something that is historically proven.

But I realized that in areas of high traffic, mainly there in the English Channel or in the North Sea, the naval forces of the allies and the axis are constantly in motion, so this causes a stalemate the times that can result in a bug, because the naval supremacy gets crazy falling and rising constantly, maybe this is the problem that the guy is facing.

One suggestion to correct the problem would be to increase the percentage radius of naval supremacy needed to execute the maneuver. Being between 40 and 50 percent the maneuver could be executed.

Think about it, after the preparation time is over, if you have 50% supremacy the unit takes a few moments to execute the maneuver, maybe (I am not sure), if at this moment the naval supremacy falls to 49%, it is automatically cancelled, but if you put a slightly higher percentage range this bug should stop happening.

Posted a thread and got some advice - none of it worked.
Do you want to try the naval invasion again?

Please post a screenshot from the exact situation. (Press the "Print" button or "WIN" + "SHIFT" + "S" on your Keyboard and then click answer here and insert the screenshot with CTRL+"V")

If you provide enough information (and be it the savegame), I guarantee you I (or maybe someone else that is faster) will help you to get it working.

As I started playing HOI4 I also sometimes couldn't get a naval invasion going and had to give up. But at some point it figured it out and in the last 500 (?) hours I never had a problem with a naval invasion.
The people in this forum helped me to figure it out, and I'd be happy to give a bit back.

That's not the problem.
If you start the invasion, the enemy can have 95% superiority all the time. If you get 50% for one short moment the invasion starts and will not cancel.
(It can be stopped by killing the divisions, by sinking the convoy on see, though. But thats another thing.)

His problem must be the same one I had during a English Channel invasion.

The root of the problem consists of two points:

1 - A lot of naval force traffic on both sides of the site has caused sudden rises and falls in the percentage of naval supremacy.

2 - The execution time of the maneuver is very long and you may lose naval supremacy in this time interval.

Or maybe she forgot to declare war.

I edited above, I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. If a naval invasion is started it runs and will not cnacel.
He says he has uncontested naval supremacy. At least I read it like that.

Here an example:

Naval Invasion and Paradrop planned, starting at territory I control.
Naval supremacy / Air supremacy achieved.
Tooltip when hovering with the mouse over the start button shows no problems:

All commands are started the last thing missing is the declaration of war.

I declare and in the next moment the naval invasions start going:

70% air superiority in all air zones (also the ones over water) from the air field to the drop location.

Watched three more videos before I found one that mentioned this . Not sure if this is a version nuance but -the invasion execution is not automatic. It must be activated for an army (banner on top of the general controlling the army). Set up the invasion, get Naval control and when prep time is complete execute the invasion command.

Not a version nuance. All battle plans (including naval invasions and paradrops) always had a button to activate the execution.
That's an important feature, otherwise you couldn't plan ahead.

Glad you figured it out finally!
