Okey, i managed to play the game in windowed mode, now what i want to do is leave the time running even when i unfocus the window. Is that possible?

You want to keep the game running, even when you're in another window?

Turn all events on the "Options" menu to "Don't show", and use the F12-"ney" code. Oh, and be sure to choose a country like Dakota, who nobody would ever declare war on.

If that doesn't work, it's probably impossible.
