Playing as Vichy France in 1941 scenario

I got inspired by Denchikus latest video, where he played Vichy in that scenario and joined the allies to get back all lost lands. There was some nice events when getting back France, moving og capital etc.

But what about the other way? What about joining the axis? Is it possible? At the start you have 0% chance of joining Germany. And are there any events in that direction?

I think Germany has claims over occupied territories, si they won't return it
