And what about capital etc?
And can I be eliminated?

You'll have no capital I think... And since you don't have any, you can't be eliminated ;)

Can you then command all Rebels that ever occur? If e.g. there are Rebels in Russia can you then control them?
What happens if they conquer a Province? Can you then train there further Rebels etc.?
You can control all rebels all around the world.
But since you can't raelly own provinces (saw a screenshot though, where someone colonized as rebels...) just control them, you won't be able to train troops...

I tried a rebel game, and I have a question: what land tech do you have, and what to do about increasing it? Do I have to simply research? I tried to cheat some landtech, but my morale is still "weak", while the normal countries have at least "disciplined", although my LT is pretty high compared to them.

Its good to have a little global control. You can create some little nations that you never saw before because under normal circumstances they don't revolt, or can rip large countries apart, or try to make some countries bigger by capturing neighboring provinces, and hope they defect to them... :)

Or you can simply colonize as them. ;) And I colonized as the rebels, but I don't know if you can build troops once you get a colony up to a city. I'll post screenshots soon enough.

Rebel tech is perfectly normal; you just research. However, rebel morale is completely independent of tech level and anything else you might think of: it is solely a function of what year it is (it jumps up a bit every 25 years or something like that, as does the number of cannons you get).

A note on research: rebels cannot take loans, so your cash can go negative. However, you cannot research if your cash is negative; all your income (or enough of it to get your cash up to 0) gets minted no matter what. You don't get inflation from this "automatic minting", though.

You can play as pirates - insert the tag PIR into a savegame file under the list marked "Selectable" at the top of the file.

You can't do much though!

It is similar to playing as rebels, but you control the pirate vessels rather than the rebel units.

You can't gain any land, just engage other people's navies. What you can do in theory, is to group your ships so you have a fleet but never a very strong one.

You can't crate new privateers of your own, as the option is greyed out, in game terms pirates are not a naval power (!)

do pirates get attrition?
Yes!!

According to the attrition box, they suffer 99% attrition at all times - wherever they are!
