Playing as Ottoman.

So, I played pretty much all the interesting countries in europe and have now moved on to Ottoman.
I have searched through alot of threads, but haven't found exactly what im looking for.

My problem is that i cannot annex tribal nations even if i conquer all their provinces. And settler production is at an alltime low it seems.
Are there no other way to conquer occupied tribal provinces than sending settlers into them? The settler method is extremely slow (or im doing it wrong).
Timurids seem to be able to take occupied provinces pretty fast without ending the war

Yes, you need to settle those provinces from the horde to gain back those lands, and yes it's SUPER slow without Colonial Venture and enough neighboring horde provinces.
At least you're not taking in any infamy and can use that somewhere else such as the rich Italian region.

The horde gets those free provinces because occupied provinces can trigger those province 'defection' event. It's dirty, but it's entirely dependent on luck.

You can also support nationalist revolts and kill whichever nation that manages to reappear due to 3 years of rebel occupation.

if you occupy the coastal cot's the timmies have you can double your colonist output, also take alexandria ect. if youve done your generic missions you get a lot of 'colonise x' missions which give you colonists as a reward.
