A couple of problems appear to exist; Gameranger instability (crashes) and time lag between the different players.
Anyone know of fixes or work arounds?
I only have ADSL over phone Cu line, but could upgrade to a slightly faster IP connection, if they will allow me to change my fixed term contract (probably would because I would give them more $'s / month).
However, at the time of day that I am playing, internet use in my country would be very light, so I will be getting the fastest speed possible since no one else is likely to be using the ISP's capabilities at that time of day.
Fibre wont be available in my street until early to middle next year.
Is it best to just not use Gameranger? If so, what is the alternative?
