Hey guys!

Today I played around with CiM again and it was my first time playing the scenarios. I can imagine that some of the newer players might have problems completing the objectives, so I took some screens and hope to give you an idea how to win the scenarios.
BTW this shouldn't be a personal project of mine. My idea was it to collect such tutorials for all scenarios available in CiM. So if anyone would like to, I would highly appreciate some participation.

Scenario 1: Berlin

The first scenario is set in Berlin in the early 1920s. This first scenario is one of the quite easy ones, but anyway, here the tutorial for it.
I tried hard to give you a good overview and detailed descriptions. Please note that I play CiM in german language, so you may don't understand everything on the pics. I think that won't matter as each of you should be used to the interface.

First objective is to connect the three bus lines with each other. The ungentle german general advises to use busses, to my mind a silly idea. Busses won't be able to carry the bunch of passengers on that line. Instead of busses, I highly recommend to start with a metro. You will need to take a loan, but don't worry, the metro makes more than enough money to cover them.
I recommend to start at the departement store in the east, just inside the circle of bus line 1. Than proceed by building a station near the eastern of the two southern terminals. The third station should be placed in front of the next departement store. Fourth station between the terminal, the theme park and the theatre. Good placement of this station is quite important as you will need it for further objectives.
Then place a station at the roundabout (the western of the two ones) and then place the last station in front of the western departement store (connection to bus line 3). The reason for describing that line that exactly is, that it will be the most important part of your network.
Line overview

As you can see, the subway (U-Bahn) makes a lot of profit. Without the new tram which was already built in this screenshot I've made around 1000C of profit each month.

The problem with the metro was, that it has been overly crowded. 300 passengers a station is way too much for the little Brotzeitschachteln. And I actually haven't made any profit before increasing the prices. 10C per metro journey should be enough to reduce the amount of passengers and to get more income.
BTW, you should never decrese the money for the employees. If you to do that, your whole system will crash, as when decresing money for the drivers it will take longer to get the passengers in and the vehicles might won't be filled. If you do same for the controllers, you will miss important income. Technical guys should be clear. The office employees are important for your reputation (will be needed for a later objective).

Objective 2 is about building a tram line. I mainly followed my metro line. Take a bit of time to get enough money for the tram, taking another loan will cause many problems. The tram will be used too much, so increase ticket prices too. I recommend an amount of about 6C. (C=Cash)
If you've placed tram and metro well the next objective should be any problem. You won't have to build a new line to get passengers to the theme park.

Let us proceed with the generals big project. Metro and tram should give enough income to get over 20.000C. That should be enough for stations and parts of the tunnel, you maybe have to take a loan of about 7.000C to complete the line.

I just placed stops at the very important places. So e.g. in front of the airport, the departement store and the railway terminal.

For some magic reason the next objective was completed without I had done anything. As you can see below the objective is completed and I haven't connected the ends of the metro to any bus/tram lines.
The metro is well used (see the station in front of the departement store on the right hand side) and I get a high amount of monthly income. Everything going fine.

The next thing the general wants you for is building a line to two hotels. I decided for bus lines. Anyway, it's not that important to complete that mission as you will soon get the next one. It isn't necessary to complete all objectives to win the scenario.

Next mission was easy for me: Just make two announcements and increase money for office employees much. So I got a high reputation. After finishing the objective I've decreased their money again.

Modernaziation now! Erm...yes. I bought 4 new vehicles for my metros so that they could deal better with the masses waiting at the stations.
Anyway, to build 10 new stations I decided to build a whole new tram line. The first one was parallel to the metro, the new one should go through the industry isle in the north. So I started at hospital again, got through the isle and ended at the theme park (connection to tram 1 and metro 1).

Hey guy, is that a joke?! I transport 120 passengers A DAY and 15.000C...pff...take a look at my bank account!

Scenario completed!

I hope I could help anyone having problems finishing the scenario. Thanks for reading!

So, now found time to complete it.
Would be nice to hear your opinion!

My first opinion is that your written English is impeccable!

Moving on to the scenario. You did similar to myself but managed to get it to work more efficiently than I did. I was'nt able to get those kind of profit margins that early on. It may have been that my ticket prices were not as high but my East-West route was a little different which may also have swayed things. two of the stations were incredibly busy but the others ranged from simply busy to under used until more links were added.

How many trains did you have running on your Metro for your 5th screenshot? I ask because another issue I had a problem with was trains stacking up at the entrance to stations. Once i re worked the lines so that they didn't cross over (IE there were two seperates lines on the east west track. They both terminated at one of the stations in the centre of the map) everything seemed to flow better.

Do you have profit with the original bus lines? I had to take all down, because its not profitable. Seems that buses in this scenario is only to get people from the farm and take it to the city.
Also I build some bus lines to complete other missions. 2 for the farm guy and 1 for the scout boy. But also with the time I took it off, because it's not profitable. I only put to complete the mission and then take it out.

I'm almost completing the Berlin scenario and I covered 4% of the map, with metro only. Also my tram line from objective 2 was stuck in traffic. Profitable but not enough. Only enough to pay energy. And really few parts of the tracks I lay down on the streets. Really few. Only where is inevitable, like to reach the rail station. I even demolish a building in order to avoid 1 block of street. Even like this, the trams were stuck in traffic.
