This is a pretty big bug that made has made issues with my games for the past month but I had assumed that this would have already been brought to the dev team's attention. Suprisingly I can't actually find any forums on this so I hope this at least someone on the dev team sees this.

There are occasionally colonized planets (rare but usually at least 1 per game) that I seemingly can't orbit. What I mean by this is that when I try to get any of my ships to orbit said planet, they just head to the left towards some far away point outside the supposed boundaries of the system.

This means it's impossible for me to bombard the planet, land armies, or really interact with it in any way whatsoever. I don't usually read the patch notes so if this is already being fixed please let me know but I haven't been able to find anyone else posting about it yet. Also if there are any fixes already available, please let me know.

Thank you and have a nice day :)

Bit of a bump but I'm experiencing the exact same issue here, you try to orbit the planet in question with a fleet or transport ships and they just end up driving to the left infinitely. Really frustrating, since i'm about to kill a devouring swarm if not for this planet.

I have had this as well, usually they finally 'find' the planet way out of the system borders and then start the bombarding/orbiting/landing or whatever they are ordered to

Same here. The few times I've seen this happen, they head off to the left, but eventually start bombing even though they're clearly not orbiting the planet.

The most interesting case of this bug I've had was a fleet of transport ships that for some reason the game thought was way outside of the system, so when i told my fleet to leave the system, they engaged the transport fleet and started flying way outside of their range, thus never actually killing them, until they were so far away combat ended, and they started moving into the system again, thus once more engaging the transport fleet and turning around to fly out again, repeat ad nauseum.

Had to bring in a second fleet from the opposite direction to kill the transport fleet while passing them by (again trying to move way out to the left of the system) before i 'save' my fleets.
