I kind of understand how other combats work from watching lots of combats and reading but not really how planes attack ships, specifically ships in fleets.

Does each plane attack one ship? Can it attack more than one?

Does the ship fight back with its AA or does the whole fleet's AA somehow help?

How do planes pick a target? They seem to favor TPs, CVs, and BBs/BCs before CLs and DDs but I am not sure about that.
