Pixel Shader is a program that is built into the hardware of your graphics card. A lot of games say they require "Pixel Shader 2.0 or higher" - this just means your graphics card has to have it. If your graphics card doesn´t have a Pixel Shader and your game won't run, then you'll need a new card that has it.

Buy A new card

Ya gotta love it
someday developers will first think of the consumer and quit putting together games that require NEW CARDS.

How about just writing the game so that the 90% of the folks that have fairly new systems and hardware can play the games, instead of the 10% that are so eat up with this stuff they will drop money for a new hardware item every month in order to play a game ??????

90% of folks DO have cards that support pixel shader 2. DirectX 9.0/pixel shader 2 were released in 2002, for heaven's sake. This game does NOT require a new card or any other "new hardware item".

Paradox are not stupid enough to release a game that only 10% of their customers could play. Where you get these numbers from I don't know; did you just make them up?
