Pillars of Eternity - The Wailing BansheeC

I am very much enjoying this game but I have hit a bug I cannot get around. When I go the the lighthouse to deal with the wailing Banshee, I build up my perception, see ink on her fingers, go and get the journal, and talk to her again and nothing happens. I look for the journal to read it and it is totally gone from my stash. I have made this work once but accidently did not save it, so I know what it is supposed to do. I have tried this with 2 different characters. The original one which worked once and then when I reloaded it would not work again plus another character which took me a long time to work up to the same point. Can someone please help me?
