Hi!

Birch told me that you lacked a Pic for the spanish tech-team named CROSS.

I've been looking among a friend, and we found a pic that might work.

This pic is of the foundators of the company:
flixh.gif

Additional info of the company can be found at:
http://www.ercros.es/ (section: Who are we? - History)

Ercos is the actual name of CROSS. In that page, you can find pics and info of other important spanish industries of the time, like the "Unión Española de Explosivos" or the "Compañía Española de Minas de Rio Tinto" (originaly, a british company).

And, by the way, the name is bad spelled. The company's name was not "CROSS", but "S.A Cros" (after his founder's name, Fracisco Cros). :)

Also, the Tech-Team is a bit underrated. The company is today one of Spain's principal thrusts. In the game it has only specialization in "chemistry", but could have also in "management" and "industrial engineering".

I suggested rocketry to compensate for Leret but Areilza, before being a politician was an engineer. If this is not convincing enough, the best idea is removing him and putting a completely new techteam.

I think he should stay the way he is now (without rocketry, of course).
I pointed at Morato for SPA and Mendiola for SPR because they were the most experienced (in combat) air aces from both parts of the Spanish Civil War. A kind of homage for both air knights. ;)
If you prefeer a more serious approach, we should go for Bayo.

I agree for the naval part and for the national addition; well, if both brothers fought and worked together, why not makind them an unique techteam?
For indirect approach you can have skills simillar to Donit´s ones (submarines and so on).

Areilza was there from the beggining, and I wonder why. He was a graduated engineer and lawyer, but if just by being an engineer one qualifies to have a tech team, then I think we could use a hundred guys ;)

The question is Did Areilza made any special aportation to mathematics or engineering?

The problem is that Morato bits the dust in 1939, so little use. But Mendiola... maybe, we could take a look to the tech teams of other countries.

No, they where brothers, but didn't fought or worked together. Fought in the same side, yes.

Francisco Moreno is the man, I think. He was the captain of the Canarias, and ran havoc among que republican merchant fleet.

Vacceo, you are right. Better use Mendiola than Bayo.

Sea Doctrines

After taking a look, I can't see much difference... all doctrines use more or less the same habilities. So little difference I can made..

Republican:
- Miguel Buiza Palacios: 3-4, Naval Training, Large Taskforce, Seamanship
- Luis González de Ubieta: 3-4, Naval Training, Small Taskforce, Seamanship

Nationalist:
- Cervera Valderrama: 3-4, Naval Training, Large Taskforce, Seamanship
- Francisco Moreno Fernández: 3-4, Naval Training, Small Taskforce, Seamanship

Air Doctrines

Republican:
Cisneros: 4, Aircraft Testing, Fighter Tactics, Bomber Tactics, Centralized Execution
Mendiola: 4, Aircraft Testing, Bomber Tactics, Piloting, Mechanics

Nationalist:
Kindelán: 4, Aircraft Testing, Bomber Tactics, Fighter Tactics, Centralized Execution
Angel Salas Larrazabal: 4, Aircraft Testing, Fighter Tactics, Piloting, Decentralized Execution

You see the way I difference the combat pilots from the high rank officers? ;)

I agree with all this changes. Just a perfect sumary of what should be changed and added. Great work Iván. :)
If there is no new coments, Birch should make this list a real feature.
We still are open to new comentaries-changes so go on; this is not the end!

There are, little mistakes that should be considered:
-CROSS should be S.A. Cross
-CEPSA could have skill 4
-Enrique Lister Forján should have centralized execution (he actually attended the battles he was involved) and skill 4
-Kindelán, Moreno, Cervera, Muñoz, García, Dávila (all national officers) should have skill 4.
-Buiza should have skill 3 while Ubieta should have it at 4.
