I think that phone may be linked to some horribly expensive connection that cannot be changed.
Just imagine if you had to pay more than 0,2 SEK/minute (0,02€) of calling, or more than 30SEK (3€) a month monthly pay
Maybe even over 5 SEK for sending that digital foto to your friends

Though sending that picture is tad bit expensive, .2 SEK/min is VERY cheap and 30 SEK/month is not that bad either. In Denmark you can't call below 0.69 DKR/minute (about 0.09€) and often about 100 DKR/month (about 13€) ... so all in all that sounds like a VERY good deal for a T610 ...

I'd guess that this phone is bought together with a phone subscription that has to be maintained for so and so long time. That's similar to what we can get for some phones in Norway at least.
