So after being dissappointed by hoi4 in it's current state i decided to pick up DH again.
So i started a soviet campaign..
Thing is, i never really got the hang of DH properly so i got a few questions:

1: Is the most effective way to burn down dissent to allocate all IC to consumer goods? Is there a point of diminishing return at some point?

2: Build IC vs gearing bonus. Should i start pumping out 36 infantry as soon as i get the tech and go for the gearing bonus or should i build IC to get more overall industrial output?

3. How does logistical strike work? Is it worthwile to pump out some STR to bomb german infrastructure? Does infrastructure bombing only affect ESE of units in combat in bombed provinces?

4. Would it be possible to pump out TACs and send them on ground attack missions to bleed the german MP pool? Or would that barely make a dent?

Thanks :)

1: Yes it is, not only netting you large sums of cash but also reducing dissent helps because it raises partisan activity on provinces, lowers IC and affects the fighting strength of your units.

2: Even though the choice is completely yours, i would say building IC at least until a year or two before the war is a good bet. Remember to build the IC back in Siberia and not the frontlines though.

3: Logistical strike attacks a province's infrastructure, lowering it and causing units in it to have lower ESE (Effective Supply Efficiency, which determines how well they fight) as well as move much slower into the province, but not into another one. As far as building STR, stay away from them for now. The german IC is too far away to bomb, and a simple TAC air group can lower the infrastructure efficiently enough. And yes, only on the affected province; there are no supply routes as there were in Arsenal Of Democracy.

4.- While what you are stating is logical in the realistic sense of the word, ingame it would take at least a few years of warfare for german MP to get reduced. I would advice you to let them stick to their role as ground support at first, and use them to ground attack or ground support units either coming individually to the frontline or retreating from a province. I personally dont micro my airforce too much ingame, preferring my army to deal the damage.
