Is it even possible to pick which robots get built anymore? I mean, the generic bot that got built is nice and all, but I researched robomodding and should be able to get a guy with a drill...for mining...if I can get him to go in the mine...or not. Who knows where your mindless automatons constructed for servitude will assign themselves these days.

Anyway, since it would take more than a year to mod this one robot, is there any way to destroy it? Not sell it...or order the global robo purge...just get rid of the one generi-bot the factory produced, in the vauge hope it will produce a mining robot next time. You can't mod that species anymore prior to constructing one... Or will the factory just keep producing generic bots... Is there any point to building power bots and farm bots?

I'm kinda tired of spending more time on Google than in the game when playing these days.

Is there a reason selling the defective bot doesn't resolve your issue? It'll at least get rid of it, and hopefully if you don't have the template for the defective bot it won't make any more of them.

You can control which robot is built, but it slows things down.
In theory the robots should sort themselves to take the "best" jobs for their traits, but I'm not sure how well this works.

Kind of figured that you would be able to select which template to build by clicking the portrait in the growth/assembly like you can for biologic pops, that makes the most sense right?

Doesn't seem to do anything.

No market yet. (My neighbors appear to be Purifiers, Pirates and a Xenophobic FE...so...no one really to trade with maybe? It's really a bad neighborhood.) Also, I used to be able to do it and now I can't and I'm kinda tired of spending money to loose options.

And like biological pops, if you have the choose growth policy disabled (to please egalitarians) you can't choose robot types.

You can control which robot is built, but it slows things down.

I don't know about normal robots but in a Gestalt Empire when you want to change the robot type you're currently building you just lose some growth progress. It doesn't slow the assembly speed or anything.

And one extra thing I experienced: If I chose to change from my main robots to a template I made for them they seemed to not lose any progress at all - just when I switched to another robot pop I got from conquering the Ancient Caretakers ... but I'm not sure if that is always the case and working as intended.
