Here is a picture of one of my favourite aircraft-cruisers of all time
Hint: its Swedish
Italian Cruiser "Cadorna" class
Here's another ship.

Just so everyone knows where we're up to, this is still the current ship. Clues so far are:
1. It was constructed in Italy
2. Its not a Cadorna class cruiser
3. It was in service prior to HOI4's start date
Going to guess rather than look up, so, was it in the Italian navy, or did Italy build it for someone else?
Edit: PS, great ship btw.
I found a picture on google claiming that it's Bolzano, but I'm inclined to disagree due to difference in bridge stucture in particular. It still looks like Luigi Cadorna or Armando Diaz to me.
E.g. compare:

and Bolzano:

I was indeed working on the assumption that it was the Bolzano. I'm more an army than a navy guy, and to be honest even after looking at the pics you posted and doing searches I'm not 100% sure which ship it is. After consulting the silhouettes in my Janes Fighting Ships of WWII I'll concede there is a good chance the pic is a Cadorna class.

Ok as we now seem to be out of ships to guess, how about this (hopefully non-controversial) one?
Don't worry, I've got a few more left (although there were a finite limit of classes that served during the period, so it's not unlimited). That said, appreciate all the ships being posted by you and others
.
That looks quite a lot like a V-class (1917/18) to me, although with most/all of the main armament removed - maybe converted to a long-range escort?
Would that ship be HMS Enterprise ?
It's D class cruiser, but no idea which one.
