1. Keep it going. It is interresting to see all these different ships. Even if I don't know most of them, or mix them up with other classes. :)
2. Whoever posted this picture from Rule the waves. Thanks, got a new exiting game to play. :D

3. I say a british Parthian-class submarine. The HMS Perseus.

Edit: Had a look at @Sun_Killer O'Brien class. That is the one. I loose.

One of the best current threads of this forum, for sure.
Even if i can barely find the easy ones, i am quite happy to follow.
So keep it up please :)

No worries at all, more ship pictures incoming (and as posted before, if others want to post ship pics as well, go for it - just remember to wait until the previous pic has been guessed, and post ships that would be in HoI4) :).

google really helps.
Capitan O'Brien class submarine

Spot on, nice work :).

Aye, this one was a bit sneaky - I deliberately picked a ship that was based on a British submarine but wasn't one. The 4.7inch armament in the clue was to help with that a bit, as very few British subs had it (other than HMS Perseus, I'm pretty sure just the Rainbow-class subs had them) - and the Capitan O'Briens do look a lot like the Parthian's - here's HMS Parthian.

Here's this ship for this morning - ships really, as if you get one, you'll probably get the other! A nice easy one to start the day with, the clue is that both of these ships are from the same navy....

Yes. Bang on. Welshman on her way delivering supplies & personnel to Malta.
Just too good.
I thought the French style funnel-caps and it's large size for a destroyer might have thrown you but nope.

I mostly like this thread because we get to see some really unusual shots of some great ships.

And I just love the warships of the period.

No clues for this one, it's not really difficult to name her so please, there's no need to waste your time, but this is the best picture I've ever seen of this amazing creation.

I really didn't think there were any because of the whole secrecy thing.

Isn’t she fabulous?

OK, so it's been digitally enhanced & coloured, but it's still a beautiful picture.

Aye, didn't think that one would take a long time ;). Apologies for the rather rough and ready (but necessary) photoshopping on the Eugen's deck.

Here's one that may or may not take a bit longer to guess. This ship took a while to come to fruition, with the navy that wanted a vessel along these lines having to ask the Government for nine years before they got the nod....

Porter Class Destroyer US NAvy?

On the ball as ever :).

Here's one for overnight :). What class of ship is it, where is it, and what's it doing there? Clue is that this ship served for the country that Fredrik Wester is going to visit for his 10 year anniversary, and you can blame that clue on Johan telling us to follow PDS on twitter for HoI tidbits ;).

CDS Peder Skram, Denmark?

Right you are, nice work :). That's in 1943, when the Danish scuttled her in an attempt to deny her to the Germans, who'd decided to seize the Danish fleet (or as much as they could get their hands on).

Here's one for this morning, the hull of this vessel was originally planned for a bttleship, but ended up being the basis for an aircraft carrier (sorry about the blurred plane tail, but couldn't make it too easy :)) ....

HMS Eagle? As far as I can tell, other conversions to aircraft carriers were battlecruisers.

Edit: except I forgot the French - it does indeed look like the Bearn.
