Physical copy question.

I was looking at buying a physical copy of this game and the ones I found said EU version. If there isn't a version for the USA, will this version play in the USA without any issues? Also, what proceedure would I use in patching this and is the latest patch cumulative? Finally, what kind of DRM would a physical copy game use if any?

All i can tell you is that my physical copy installed the game and that i do not neet the dvd in the drive to run the game.

If it's in line with other paradox games then the difference will be in the style of English used. (honor (US) v. honour (UK/EU)

I was trying to look in the tech support subforum to see about the latest patch and I always like to see what issues the players face when I research a game. I can't get the tech support forum to show any of the threads. Do I have to purchase the game first to have the tech support subforum show the threads? Also, there is a debate in the CK2 forum about steam etc. if you buy a physical copy. I don't want to have any steam etc. if I buy this game. In my last few PC game purchases all I had to do was enter an activation code from that was on the disc. Will this game require anything like steam etc. to play?

There is no copy or region protection on the physical game. You can install that one just fine.

If you buy the non-steam version you do not need Steam. Your game will come with a registration code that will unlock the tech support forum, just like your EU3 registration did. The game itself will play 100% fine without you registering here.

Thanks for all your info. I'm 90% on the way to buying. The latest patch says that it's in the tech support forum. So, if I buy this game I can download 1.4 and is it a cumulative patch? Usually they are, but with Steel Panthers they had to be downloaded in sequence.

Yes, v. 1.4 is a cumulative patch. Register your code on the forum once you've bought your game, and you'll be able to see the Tech Forum Section and download any future beta patches as well.

Greetings, southern neighbor (I live in Harrisonburg). If you have Deus Vult for CK and Revolutions for Victoria, you can get the icons for those assuming you still have the keys for them.
