In order to rise in the Mormon Church past the base of being a member, you need to have good good learning and/or diplomat stats , "good" traits, and a place where you may have power helps. There will be lowborn with wicked stats occasionally as the Prophet based on the open nature of this system. Not being a member of the priesthood doe not help will with elections for positions but does not prevent succession to secular offices.
Converts have these events fire fast after they join for the first 3.
AARONIC PRIESTHOOD-
The rise is a multi-step process that is complex, there is a failing at certain points.
Title-Requirements-Description
Deacon-Age 12-Helps around the Ward with temporal needs and other duties.
Teacher-Age 14-Teaches and helps the service
Priest-Age 16-Preforms duties of the service and spreading the Aaronic Priesthood
After becoming a Priest, that is the set minimum for rising further upward. If you can't rise further, you reside here at this rank.
Bishop-Bishop, Sovereign Bishop, and Presiding Bishop can only be given to married High Priests or above. Presiding Bishop is appointed by the Ruler of a county or up with the roster provided, the position has no power other than advising and personal service to the ruler.
Bishop is just a regular, while Sovereign Bishop has some authority both have the same
Melchizedek priesthood-
These offices have can be attempted to be reached multiple times with the exception of Prophet.
Elder-18 and up, must be a Priest-
High Priest-Be an Elder- Serves a Bishop or in administrative functions.
Patriarch-Married and High Priest-The overseers and organizers of bishops, its is also attached to a ducal rank for managing Wards and the fiaht in a realm or a soverign duchy. Acts a a Patriarch in a Kingdom, but appointed by the Prophet.
Seventy-Married and Patriarch or High Priest-Missionary duty, has the character going around and doing work for the Apostles
Apostle-Married High Priest and Up- Help run the Church, serve as special members,direct the Patriarchs, and Seventies.
Prophet-Most Senior Apostle- Run the damn church corresponds to a ducal title.
Church positions and titles given if applicable.
Bishops- Baron
Presiding Bishops- Nothing
Sovereign Bishops- Counts
Kingdom Patriarchs- Dukes (no lands but a real title post with history, its ceremonial but does give a ruler certain communications directly to the Prophet)
Sovereign Patriarchs- Dukes (with lands and power)
Prophet- King Ranked with title but cannot be held by a Bishop or Sovereign Bishop or Patriarch or Sovereign Patriarch
They will have events, if in the Melchizedek priesthood beyond confirmation, where conduct can rise the positions. That is really the limit. Not too deep but deeper enough for it to play apart. Melchizedek positions are fired by an event a character starts once eligible and is decided by the Bishop for Elder and High Priest. Patriarch, Seventy, and Apostle by the Prophet and his Apostles, essentially elections in which eligible candidates are voted in.
On Lazy Sons- The son must be not at your court without duty, whether its being a councilor, leading an army, or partaking in some event series. This is rather odd, but is to help curb the Mormons.
Thoughts? This can and should be simplified as much as possible.
