It practicly impossable to see what languages will evolve into, Latin was strange because of the way it was taught, so you ended up with Proper classical latin, and a more common bastardised version, effectivly spilting the language into High Latin and Low Latin.

Well... all languages eventually come together, but you are talking about PIE (Proto-Indo-European), which gave birth to the widest spectrum of languages on the face of the Earth. It is amazing to think so many languages are related and to find the common features in them while so much else is different.

Every language in europe except finnish and hungarian and some ancient pot found in spain is essentially the same as persian and indian and mongolian on account of them all recently [in archeology terms] being part of the same group of steppes peoples who migrated everywhere at the start of history, one wave beign the celts and next the greeks and the next the germans and thats why the daunbe is the same as danu and dad, mum, son and daughter are recognisable in different languages. People have talked about it around me, its not something ive ever actually gone to the trouble of learning but its something like that anyway.
Point is, language is wiggy and time makes it even weirder so worry about the langauges looking cool and distinctive rather than accurate cos accurate is impossible.

Its probably to early for this. But im going to have a go and making a character history file for the descendants/extended family of Geremiah. Probably taking character ids 1-500. Not that i expect that much will be needed but itll leave room for parents and grandparents of spouses to go in and eventually unrelated high meridian families too.

Europe also has Basque, Estonian and Maltese which are not Indo-European languages.

Does anyone know if 0.0.0 dates work? As i was thinking of having for one character having his birth and his death date be 0.0.0 to represent him living before the start of the calender. Probably it'll show him up as a child but thats ok as its just there so the brothers can be brothers.
But im not sure if 0.0.0 would work or if it would have to be 1.1.1

Im going to use the Sayyid traits for descendants of Geremiah [rather than make a new agnatic=yes trait] as it has the Mirza trait hardcoded for the daughters children.

But relocalised to being Phoenix [Sayyid] and Firehawk [Mirza]. With there function in game being any charatcer of either of those traits in the Union gets a CB to declare war for the Union if the President doesnt have either trait or is in a regency.
Maybe a plot as well allowing any Phoenix to plot to gain a claim on the Union at any time.
So as to keep the title of the President tied to its founders blood and most importantly, keep providing the Union reasons to be at war with itself rather than expanding.

Character History so far. Dates and etc are complete. And some names unlocalised. Heres House Meridian's start and the whole of post-meridian House Fall and its cadet. Only characters who held titles or have living descendants are listed. Characters whose lines died out are abstracted away. So far its mostly only sons. Daughters will be added later after the other houses are done so their dates can worked out in line with who their kids in other houses are.

From the sounds of it theyre working to fix it. So by the time were ready to release probably it'll be ready to go. And if not putting caribbeans and plainsmen in the same re-localised group would be an easy solution to giving it to both of them. ALL pagans are in one group in CK2 after all. I dont know how moslem mechanics work with republics though but probably its fine.

Central America is about half done. I've decided to completely redo the topographic map of the area, though, since the one that I have is rather disconnected from reality. There's lots of impassable terrain to represent that the region is difficult to navigate, but the actual topography of the region isn't so much massive mountain chains as it is many, smaller chains. I'm getting a high-resolution real map to help me this time, so hopefully it should go better.

EDIT: I may have stumbled upon a way to get really detailed topographic information in a form compatible with the game. Unfortunately, it requires a lot of hard drive space, which I don't have on this computer.

I refuse to let this mod die.
I'm sort of waiting for a working map so I can add characters directly to it and know that they work. I'd hate to work for three months on characters/dynasties only to find out I misplaced a { somewhere. Plus filling in the map will give a good sense of accomplishment.

Give me the actual province map (not just a mock-up) and I can start working on the other maps. It might take a while, but I can get it done.
