Philosopher King and Dictatorship

So, I see that Philosopher King gives +2 to my starting leader's level... but it doesn't do anything for subsequent elected rulers. I should add that it DOES work in 1.5.1 for heirs of an Imperial system.

Am I overlooking some sort of an effect. Otherwise, why would anyone take this for a Dictatorship if it only applies to one character? Or rather, why does the game let you take it?

Two things: One this is a bug and you should have reported it there not here, 2nd you should have checked the forums before posting. There is a nice handy search feature you can use.

Terrible advice: people have a habit of picking up threads that have the exact name of the issue they are looking for but are long dead, leading to other issues

Two things: one, I am not referring to the 1.5.0 bug with starting Philosopher Kings, I am referring to a 1.5.1 issue with subsequent rulers not getting any benefit from Philosopher King; two, you shouldn't assume that I didn't do a search with "philosopher king", "dictator", and other relevant search terms in both this forum and in the bug forum.

Next time, please read my post before jumping onto a forum crusade. I am NOT referring to the hotfixed-corrected issue where it wasn't applying to your starting ruler, which I am well aware of, and clearly stated that I was not referencing in my OP.

You're arguing the semantics between a bug and an issue. The real question is if it's intended to work like that and argue no otherwise it's useless therefore it's a bug. On which "issue" you're reporting on you should still have checked the forums first. This isn't a crusade i'm simply stating what a moderator would say anyway but in a politer than how I did.

Because there is a difference, and what I'm asking about doesn't appear to be a bug, but a design oversight (unless there is something that I'm missing about how it is supposed to work). I've been here a while, I know what a bug is, and when to report them.

Again, I did. There isn't another thread in my search or the suggested topics when you make a post. Feel free to link me to whatever you think there is for what I'm asking, because I've already given you what I've searched for and could not find a related topic.

Except you're not a moderator and have no more authority here than any other poster.

To the OP, it sounds like something which has been missed - at least I hope so as it makes the choice fairly sub standard in comparison to other civics.

Okay, I am going to close this topic and suggest if there isn't a bug report for this issue, with the current build, then to report it in the bug report sub forum.

I will take this time to remind the community that dictating forum rules, and deciding if a rule has been broken, should be done by a moderator. If you think a post/topic is breaking the rules than use the report button, that is what it is there for. Even if you think a topic is in the wrong forum, use the report button. It helps bring such topics to the moderators attention. If you think someone is acting like a moderator in there posts, use the report button.

As far as I can see, no one in this thread has broken any rules to the point that anything more than a word warning (this post) is needed.

EDIT: Thanks to the people (you know who you are) who used the report button instead of acting like moderators themselves.
