The End

The readers with good memory remember that the last chapter ended with a declaration of war against Savoy.
Here's the conclusion:
Burgundian troops marched into the savoyan county and started the siege of Dauphiné and Savoie.
BurgundiAAR27th.jpg

They savoyans thought they could bribe the burgundian troops out of their duchy with a rather small sum in the end of January 1471 when Dauphiné fell to the duchys soldiers. Since the troops that sieged Savoy were chased away by milanese mercenaries, Savoy thought they could make peace now.
No way! They shall suffer for their ignorance.
BurgundiAAR28th.jpg

The peace terms were harsh, very harsh.
Savoy had to give up the province of Dauphiné AND become a polite vassal under the duchy of Burgundy.
Charles was pleased, extremely pleased.
But he had not enjoyed this moment for long until things started happen.
The other duchys, states and countries of Europe was not happy with Burgundys expansion.
Now declarations of war started pouring in.
BurgundiAAR29th.jpg

Dauphiné, Aragon, England, Connaught, Scotland, Leinster, Ulster, Wirtemberg, Bremen and the Palatinate were amassing their troops and marching towards the duchy.
BurgundiAAR30th.jpg

In the middle of this madness, Charles was offered the realms of Guelders, what a perfect opportunity! From there, more troops could be forced into the fields.
BurgundiAAR31st.jpg

However, the duchy was quickly losing provinces to their enemies, and it didn't help that alot of the french provinces were controlled by rebels!
The duchy was quickly falling apart, the former super-power, now brought to its knees.
Poor Charles took his life to end his embarassment, the people was sheltered from the fact that their glorious leader was dead.
The duchy never retook its former provinces and was merely a shadow of what it once was.

THE END
Perhaps another AAR will be written by me sometime, but at this moment it's far away, I have to much else to do at this moment, but someday perhaps...

Fudge, you went over bb-limit...
A real man loses no provinces, fights till dead and reconquers and conquers until the end of his era.;)

Well what can I say? All hell broke lose:rofl:
I really thought I could bully Savoy without attracting to much attention, but looks like the joke's on me :)

Aw come on, you've got Montezuma working for you, and you can't recover from this? I've seen the AI do far worse. Spam mercenaries until they allow you no more. Then use that 91 manpower. Troop support limits don't mean crap when you have 330k in the treasury. This is BB wars - the best reason to go for a WC.

Enewald: Yes I understand that but I didn't think I would get such an increase after the savoyan war ;)

Just discovered this little gem of an AAR just in time to read it all the way through. Nicely done, although like some of the others I am disappointed that you didn't try to fight through all those BB wars :p Still, fantastic work :)

Thanks :) Thanks alot^^
In my next AAR (I can't tell you much, it's classified), I will try to make it more narrative but still keep that touch that I am actually playing a game, and not writing a book.

Thanks :) And yeah it was kind of sad :( Everything was going so good, and then suddenly all my armies were destroyed, new ones were being built ofc, and enemy troops came from everywhere, more and more in a neverending flood of destruction.

Well...in the end, even though I was pumping out mercs. and armies 24/7, in the end I had control of 4 provinces, then I lost my temper a little and accidently stopped playing and accidently erased the save game...
